What is the difference between white and black replacement files?

1. The abrasive of the white files is made up of aluminium oxide, which makes them more flexible, softer and more wear-resistant. Black files are composed of silicon carbide, which makes them harder but more brittle.
2. White files have a fine, rounded abrasive grain that does not injure the nail plate. The black files have a sharp-shaped abrasive grain that is self-sharpening during the file.
