What is the difference between white and black files?

1. The abrasive of the white files is made of aluminium oxide, which makes them more flexible, soft and wear-resistant. Black files are composed of silicon carbide, which makes them harder but more brittle.
2. White files have a fine, rounded abrasive grain that does not injure the nail plate. Black files have a sharp-shaped abrasive grain that is self-sharpening during the file.
